Upcoming Missions
Highlights of our 2023 Mission to Antigua Guatemala
The people served during this mission were indigenous Mayan people who do not have access to health services due to economic reasons. The team performed a total of 134 general and gynecological surgical procedures over the mission's two weeks. The seventy-three general surgery procedures included 34 hernia repairs in adults, a surgery that supports these patients to return to working safely and comfortably. Access to Gynecology surgery is very difficult for indigenous women in Guatemala – this year we were able to complete surgical procedures for 61 patients. In addition to providing surgical procedures, the team operated a hearing clinic that served 83 clients and included hearing testing, fitting ear molds and new hearing aids, and repair and programming of hearing aids.
Working with new colleagues who really cared and worked so diligently to bring services to people who otherwise could not access them was a highlight of the mission for me.

Highlights from our Mission to The Gambia
