San Benito, Guatemala
The first Medicos en Accion team arrived at Hospital Shalom in San Benito in March 2017.
The ENT team travels from Guatemala City to Flores in northern Guatemala, the closest airport to San Benito. The team includes one or two ENT surgeons, surgical assists, anaesthetists, OR nurses and recovery nurses. The team also operates a hearing clinic and fits hearing aids. The mission usually visits San Benito in November for one week.

Improving lives in San Benito
Over a single week our small medical team worked tirelessly to provide surgery and medical care to almost 300 individuals. In addition, 25 surgeries were completed and the hearing clinic repaired or fit 94 hearing aids. We are grateful for the support of our donors and volunteers who made this mission possible.
