Our latest missions highlight the incredible impact made possible by dedicated volunteers and generous donors.
In Antigua, Guatemala, 64 volunteers came together to deliver 298 surgeries across multiple specialties, while also supporting a busy audiology clinic. Patients received hearing tests, new hearing aids and essential supplies—including over 11,000 hearing aid batteries, a critical resource in underserved communities.
This work reflects more than clinical expertise. It represents the commitment, adaptability and teamwork of volunteers who step into unfamiliar environments to meet urgent needs—and the donors who make that work possible.
In The Gambia, teams overcame limited resources, tight timelines and unpredictable challenges to deliver patient-centered care, including specialized thyroid surgeries and hearing support. These missions show that real impact is built on resilience, collaboration and compassion.
As Medicos en Acción celebrates 25 years of service, this milestone is a testament to the global community of volunteers and supporters who continue to expand access to care.
